According to the Parent Handbook all parents and students must enter and exit the building through the front glass doors. Parking in the Fire Lanes around the building is also not allowed as in an emergency it would not allow easy access for the necessary emergency vehicles. Please in this day and age you are all aware of events happening in the area schools. We want to make sure you child and all the other children and teachers are safe.
A big “Thank You” to all that donated personal care and cleaning products to the Thanksgiving Drive held in November. We received a note of appreciation from the Society.
Advent is the season of the Church Year that seems to get lost. We are preparing for Christmas – It is not Christmas now as much as the stores, radio, and television would have us believe. Christmas Day begins The Twelve Days of Christmas, the Christmas Season. During Advent use some time as a family to do some inner preparation for the Promised Messiah. Light the candles on your Advent wreath and pray before you share a family meal. Open the doors on your Advent Calendars, and not only eat the chocolate but take the time to read from scripture also. Have the family write notes to those family members, who are far away, and enclose them in the Christmas cards you send. Check the newspaper for churches that are offering programs of “Lesson and Carols” and attend as a family. Spend a little time each day in prayer, attend Mass, take the opportunity to go to the Sacrament of Penance.
A reminder to all students preparing for Confirmation, Candidate Information and Sponsor forms are due in the Religious Education Office on December 9,
